Terms of Service
Effective date: 25 May 2026
See also: Privacy Policy
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Doczo platform operated by Doczo Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Doczo (including our website, provider dashboards, patient accounts, appointment flows, HomeCare enquiry services, and communications channels), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
If you use the platform on behalf of a clinic, hospital, or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" includes the entity.
2. About our services
Doczo provides an online platform to discover healthcare providers and hospitals, request and manage appointments, access certain teleconsultation or meeting features where enabled, list medical practices, and coordinate HomeCare enquiries. We are a technology intermediary and coordination service — we do not replace independent clinical judgment by licensed professionals.
Availability of features, cities, providers, and HomeCare services may change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to create an account or enter into transactions on your own behalf. Users under 18 may use the platform only with involvement of a parent or lawful guardian. Healthcare providers must hold valid registrations and licences required under applicable Indian medical and nursing laws.
4. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must provide accurate, current information and update it when it changes.
- Notify us promptly at support@doczo.com of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security or legal risk.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive purposes.
- Impersonate any person, misrepresent qualifications, or post false medical or practice information.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems without written permission.
- Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Circumvent fees, booking rules, or access controls established by providers or Doczo.
6. Healthcare and emergency disclaimer
Doczo does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Content on the platform (including provider profiles, articles, and AI-assisted features if any) is for informational purposes only. Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
Not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately (for example, dial 112 in India). Do not rely on the platform for urgent or life-threatening care.
Teleconsultation and digital communication features, where available, are subject to the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and applicable state rules. Providers are solely responsible for clinical decisions made during consultations.
7. Appointments and HomeCare
- Appointment requests are subject to provider availability and confirmation. Doczo facilitates booking but does not guarantee that a specific slot or provider will be available.
- Cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies may be set by the provider; additional platform rules may apply.
- HomeCare services involve coordination with third-party caregivers or agencies. Service quality, staffing, and on-site care are the responsibility of the engaged provider or partner, subject to your agreement with them.
- Fees, if displayed, are indicative unless confirmed at checkout or by the provider.
8. Healthcare providers and listings
Providers listing on Doczo are independent professionals or organisations. We may verify certain credentials but do not warrant uninterrupted accuracy of every listing field. Providers are responsible for compliance with the National Medical Commission Act, Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct) Regulations, Nursing Council norms, and other applicable laws.
Providers grant Doczo a non-exclusive licence to display submitted content (names, photos, schedules, descriptions) for platform operation and marketing of the listing, until removed or the listing ends.
9. Payments and refunds
Where online payments are enabled, transactions may be processed by authorised payment aggregators compliant with RBI guidelines. You agree to pay applicable fees, taxes, and charges disclosed at checkout. Refund eligibility depends on the provider's policy, applicable consumer protection law, and the nature of the service (consultation completed vs cancelled in advance). Chargeback abuse may result in account suspension.
10. Intellectual property
The Doczo name, logos, software, and platform design are owned by or licensed to Doczo Private Limited. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to compensate you.
11. Intermediary status (IT Act)
To the extent we qualify as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, we operate as a platform that hosts third-party content and facilitates interactions between users and providers. We act in accordance with applicable intermediary due-diligence obligations, including grievance redressal mechanisms described below.
Unlawful or infringing content may be reported to our Grievance Officer. We may remove or disable access to content that violates law or these Terms, consistent with applicable rules and natural justice.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by Indian law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where disclaimable.
To the maximum extent permitted under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable law, Doczo Private Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for clinical outcomes, provider acts or omissions, HomeCare incidents, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) fees you paid to Doczo for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000, except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory Indian law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doczo Private Limited, its directors, officers, and employees from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the platform, or violation of applicable law — except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for breach of these Terms, legal requirement, or risk to users or the platform. You may stop using the platform at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection forums, courts at Ernakulam, Kerala, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without prejudice to your right to approach the appropriate consumer dispute redressal commission where you qualify as a consumer under Indian law.
16. Grievance redressal
For complaints regarding the platform, content, or account access:
- Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, Doczo Private Limited

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where additional consent is required by law.
